The Wall - Section of the North American Nebula (NGC7000)
Information
The above image is an area within NGC 7000 ( the North American Nebula ). The section Seen above is called the wall by many amateur imagers, there may be a catalog number for the area but I have not heard anyone reference it to date.
The Image is composed of three monochrome filtered channels combined in photshop to create a false color RGB. For this Image I combined Ha, OIII and SII data to create the final color image.
Optics and exposure data
Telescope, Orion ED 80. 80mm APO Refractor @ 600mm fl
Mount, Losmandy G11 with Gemini control electronics
Imager, Starlite-Xpress SXV-h9 using Schuler Ha, OIII and SII filters
Exposure data, 90 minutes each channel for a total exposure time of 4.5 hours
Images acquired with Astroart and aligned then combined in Maxim Dl. Final RGB composite processed with Photoshop Cs
